Review of Pintoo K1002 Nan Jun - Slow Down Flowerpot (80 Pieces)

Doing a review on something very different. I saw this in a store and picked it up to try it out. Its a 3D puzzle which makes itself into.....a flowerpot. Yep, that's right. Who wouldn't be interested in trying that out?

The box is nicely packed and the instructions though basic are clear and to the point. Two bags, one for the pieces and the other for the plastic cases to hold the flower or pens if you decide to go that way.

Yep, that's how you start making it. The fit was nice and tight. The plastic material looks good quality and has a nice polish to it.

A quick build which looks nice and can be put to good use around the house or the office. That's one smart way to redecorate your table.

Review of DECOOL 7115 Super Heroes Batman Bat-Pod (338 Pieces)

Making a DECOOL kit for a change. That too from the Super Heroes series and one of my favourite ones..The Bat-Pod

Well here we go

The box is nicely packed with attractive box art with Christian Bale batman on the box. The box size is approximately 35 x 18 x 11 cm.

The inside is packed nicely but the plastic bags are not labeled. The parts are not that many so not that difficult to go through them. No parts missing so that's always great.

The construction is pretty simple so don't expect a technics style construction. There is no suspension or any other fancy stuff. But that's expected with the low part count. The only gripe I had was that some parts are just hanging midway without being fixed on the other side. 

Review of LEPIN 20015 Bucket Wheel Excavator Type A

Hi guys,

Back with the Type A for the LEPIN 20015 Bucket Wheel Excavator Type A. Without further ado, lets get right into it. The design is very different and I am enjoying this more than Type B so far. The post is very picture heavy, you have been warned :-)

Continuing on. The snap fit is great and the instructions are clear too. Sometimes, the colours can be a little confusing but not unmanageable.

The bucket wheel arm is heavy and looking at it, you would think it would be tough to balance it off on the main chassis.

And there you go...its fixed now. The connection initially looked a little fragile but it holds nicely. Unless you plan to dig real loads :-)

The finished pictures. The construction is very good. I made a mistake and didn't follow the manual properly so the mechanism does not work properly but the motor is working nicely so no worries there. More importantly, no parts missing.

The detailing was great as well. Lots of attention to minor things like lights, ladders, railings etc. Definitely a must buy if you are into construction stuff.

Review of LEPIN 20015 Bucket Wheel Excavator Type B

Hi everyone,

After a long time away, back again with a review and WIP pictures of the LEPIN 20015 Bucket Wheel Excavator. It is a big set and has a whopping 3929 pieces. And as with this series, it comes in two different configuration type. For now, I will start with Type B and then make the Type A. So without wasting too much time, let's go straight into the good stuff. (Picture heavy so you have been warned!)

The box is big. Approximately 60 x 50 x 12 cm. And as usual, inside the packets are separated into two boxes marked A and B. Whats the logic behind the separation? No idea at all :-).

The excavator comes with a mining truck which is a nice addition. And that's where we start.

 Very nice touch was the tipping action of the mining truck. Ignore the eager boy in the background :-)

After that we go onto the main event. As expected, the quality of plastic is pretty good though some pieces don't line up properly but nothing horrible. The whole construction is very good and engaging. The instructions are clear enough for my 5 year old boy to help out as well.

I had an accident with the type B so I had to break it down and start Type A. It has been great so far and it has been a lot of fun. Tune in again for the Type A
