Review of DECOOL 3317 Helicopter Exploiture - Type A

Earlier finished the DECOOL 3317 Helicopter Exploiture - Type B of the same kit. And now it is time for the Type A. A little hint, I prefer the Type A over the Type B but you will have to check why later.

Overall, the Type A is bigger than Type B. It has more moving mechanism. The wheels lower down, the tow hook lowers, the rear loading ramp lowers. So all in all, a more well designed build. So yeah, I will stick to having the Type A build. Thumbs up.

Review of DECOOL 3317 Helicopter Exploiture - Type B

Back with a review of something that I have been meaning to build for a long while. A helicopter model. The first of its kind that I have made so far. So was hoping it would be interesting. This is the DECOOL 3317 Helicopter Exploiture - Type B. Will be posting the review for Type A later.

The box is on the bigger side especially for only a 1000+ pieces. I noticed that the bags were numbered but the instructions did not mention which bags to use for what parts. That wasn't very nice to go through. 

The snap fit is fantastic. All parts align nicely without any gaps. 

The while construction is very interesting. The wheels can be lowered and the both rotors move independently, which was a very nifty thing to have.

A definite recommendation from me. The construction is good, the gears work, and its light weight. Will work on Type A soon.

Review of DECOOL 3415 + 3416 Combo Kit

Remember, we earlier went over the DECOOL 3415 Record Breaker and DECOOL 3416 QUAD BIKE? I had mentioned then that the two kits could combine to make a new kit. Well..here we are. The combo kit of those two earlier kits.

Behold the double pull back units that are combined here. One from each previous kit.

It is some kind of truck but without any steering or engine movement. That is to expected though.

IMO, a very smart kit for combining both the DECOOL 3415 Record Breaker and DECOOL 3416 QUAD BIKE into one. The pieces work together obviously but the manuals have to work together too. The instructions are spread over both manuals. Now that is some cooperation hehe. I am thinking of naming this kit, the DECOOL 3415.5 Co-Truck. What do you think?

Review of DECOOL 3416 Quad Bike

Continuing on from the previous kit, the next in line is the DECOOL 3416 Quad Bike. It comes with slightly higher number of parts compared to the Record Breaker. It also comes with a pull back action, so that is something new.

As expected, the packing is exceptional.

Simple construction as always for the DECOOL 3416 Quad Bike

Does not take long at all to fix up the bike. But that has to be expected when its less than 200 pieces.

The finished DECOOL 3416 Quad Bike looks quite impressive. I did not paste the stickers. I was waiting for the next part to paste them.

Now the interesting thing about these kits is that both the Record Breaker and the Quad Bike combine together to make a completely different kit. We will try that out next.

Review of DECOOL 3415 Record Breaker

Continuing with our look into relatively obscure kits, presenting the DECOOL 3415 Record Breaker. I say obscure because a kit that comes with a mere 125 parts is usually overlooking in favour of its more voluble cousins. However that does not mean that it doesnt have its own attractions. It comes with a pull back action. And that is not the only plus here. However more on that later.

But without any further ado.

DECOOL in my opinion, always goes overboard in their packing. The packing here is very very good for a mere 125 pieces.

The construction for the DECOOL 3415 Record Breaker as expected is very simple but no less satisfying.
